Raw Unrefined Shea Butter has been used for thousands of years and originates from Africa. Our Shea Butter is from West Africa, Ghana, the Northern Region. One of the largest producers of Raw, Unrefined Shea Butter in the world.

Barbara Mensah Unrefined Shea Butter is made using the traditional methods from an Indigenous African tree called Vitellaria Paradoxa. These are wild-growing trees producing tiny nut-sized fruits that fall each season to the ground.  Local villagers harvest these fruits, separate them from the nut then boil until butter rises to the surface. The butter is then milled and filtered for its impurities. Only then is packed in huge blocks loaded and shipped to our facilities in Denmark for packaging, manufacturing, and labeling.

Our Shea Butter is 100% Pure, Raw, Unrefined, and Organic, made from the most recent harvest of shea nuts to ensure our customers receive the highest quality Shea Butter. We receive new batches every two months.

Both our gently Whipped and Raw chunks of shea butter are deeply moisturizing, soothing repair dry, itchy, cracked skin, and reveals a healthy natural glow.
